Le Manager
Andy Slack has been running Chez Jules for the last 10 years. As well as being General Manager, he is also a company director and plays a fundamental role in the restaurant and is key to how it has been shaped over the years.
“Chez Jules plays a huge role in my life. I approach everyday with passion and enthusiasm, born out of believing in what we do, the food we produce and the atmosphere that we create for each and every customer.
Being in the industry we make a concerted effort to make ourselves aware of the competition. Having visited a large selection of restaurants that span the gap between cheap and cheerful and Michelin starred cuisine, we were adamant that we wanted to commit ourselves to providing the best quality food accompanied by the best possible service. We are proof that you don’t have to break the bank to deliver incredible food… and why should you. Everyone should have access to food and service like this.
Working at the front of house it is fantastic to see the constant flow of new faces, but nothing makes us happier, or proves that we are doing things right more than those customers who return again and again. One of the most enticing factors is that our menu changes twice a day, ensuring that there is something new and exciting to try every time you come in. Always freshly produced on the day and always served with passion and enthusiasm.
Events also play a major role in what we can offer our customers. Numerous occasions have been held here from anniversaries, birthdays and office parties to christening and weddings. We go out of our way to ensure that every event runs as smoothly as possible. With no hire charge and the opportunity to decorate our event space as you wish, it’s no wonder that people are booking in early.”
