Chez Jules was overflowing with love this Valentine’s Day as couples joined us to celebrate the most romantic day in the calendar. From the forward planners who had seats reserved weeks in advance to those chaps who like to live on the edge by grabbing a last minute table, love was well and truly in the air.
But why are restaurants such a romantic destination on Valentine’s Day? There really is something quite special about the intimate one on one time that a restaurant can offer. Gone are the distractions of the television, mobile phone and other such white noise that can destroy any ‘couple time’. Stepping into a restaurant immediately makes the occasion feel special. Choosing the perfect selection of dishes, enjoying a good beer or delicious glass of wine and taking the time to actually talk to each other is a wonderful thing and a joy to behold.
